Coffee In El Salvador

El Salvador may be the smallest country in Central America, but that doesn’t stop it from leaving a mark in the coffee industry. What makes it so unique are its volcanoes. The beautiful country has 170 volcanoes, 23 of which are still active. Our coffee comes from the Santa Ana volcano, which is featured on our coffee bag. The high altitudes and nutrient-rich volcanic soil make El Salvador the perfect place for growing coffee.

Coffee Varieties:

El Salvador only grows Arabica coffees. This type of bean has a more acidic taste and grows best at high elevations. It is the most common coffee bean.

Some Arabica varieties grown in El Salvador are Bourbon, Pacas and Pacamara.

Coffee from El Salvador usually has high acidity and a bright taste.
